Just wanted to let anyone and everyone know if you are a type two diabetic and want to live a better more productive life, you need to check into bariatric surgery. Dr. V was straightforward and caring and answered all my questions in a no-nonsense fashion. Many of his staff had WLS also and were always helpful and able to answer my many questions. I would do this once a year if I had to. It has absolutely changed my life for the better!

I'm approaching my 2 year anniversary...I had my surgery on January 15, 2007. My starting weight was 408 lbs and I've lost 135 lbs. Dr. V and his staff were wonderful, helpful, sympathetic of my needs....I left Charlotte about six months after my surgery....I have not found anyone as caring as Dr.V and his staff....There no place like home....keep up the good work...Thank you so much.

Dr. V and his staff are wonderful. They all are very patient and have a passion for what they do. Dr. V has a wonderful bedside manner. He is very busy, but still focuses on the patient in front of him. I will never regret my decision for the lapbad and would recommend Dr. V. 5 out of 5 stars!!!

I cannot express how thankful I am for Dr. V and all the folks at SE. They literally saved my life. My surgery was tough on me simply because I was in such a low state of health before my surgery. Dr. V stayed with my wife and son into the early hours of the morning. He is a gracious Doctor whose bedside manners are A+. I strongly reccommend these folks. They are people just like you and me, having understood the addiction of food and how to overcome it. I am alive today because they were patient with me and worked with me.

I have gotten my life back! This office has been gardian angels to me and have not only gave me my life back but my family has gotten their mother and wife back.
My first impression of Dr. Voellinger was a great one. He's straight-forward, informative, and shows a genuine desire to listen and help. I was referred to him from another surgeon who no longer performs RNY. He stream lined the patient process and accepted all paperwork as is from my old surgeon. Others in my area weren't willing to do so-meaning me starting over from square one!. His staff is great as well. He clears time to see each patient through every step of the way from the initial consult-through recovery-and through all post op visits. He is also determined to promote long term success and has a dedicated post-op team that work with you beyond the surgery date. He communicated all aspects of the surgery good and bad-no tables were left unturned. I rate him as a 10.

Today I have had my Lap-Band for 3 years. I have never regreted it for a second. From the very first consult to my latest appointment with Dr V and the staff I have felt well taken care of. Dr V is a wonderful Dr he will take the time to explain what he feels is best for all of his patients and he has never made me feel that I am not a part of my care. I recommend all of my friends who are interested in Bariatric surgery to him.
